RIP my 20’s when I could go out dancing all night have 2 hours sleep and wack on some kind of whatever moisturiser in the morning and call it a ‘skin care routine’. At 31 I have seriously stepped up my skin care and recently I have been finding great results with one of my favourite lines; The Age Smart range from Dermalogica, which features products that are way more efficient than your traditionally prescribed cleanse, tone and moisturise routine.
The hero product of the range for me is the Overnight repair serum, you can press it directly into your skin before moisturising or add it to your day moisturiser to give your skin a boost. It’s packed with Peptides, Argan and Rose oils which give you a really glowing dewy look to the skin.
Once a week I give my skin a treat with the Multivitamin Thermafoliant and Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque to get rid of any dead skin that s dulling down my complexion . If you have never used a Thermafoliant then get ready to freak out, when you massage it into your face it self heats which helps loosen any dead skin cells, it feels really weird but really amazingly and effective. Topping it off with the matching masque gives my skin a hydration saturation which has been brightening my skin over the Winter months.
Night time is when we can all lapse in applying products, bed is just so tempting and cosy amirite? Injecting the Multivitamin Power Serum and Super Rich Repair cream to my nightly routine has been working on my skin while I get some much-needed sleep. At night I like the feeling of thicker products on my skin, they soak in overnight and waking up my skin is always plump and soft in the morning.
The very indulgent addition to my skin care in my 30’s is a regular facial, Dermalogica facials are super intensive and luxurious and I highly recommend them the next time you want to ‘Treat yo’ self’.
