Minimal makeup must haves! Black lashes and red lips

April 27, 2015
Red lips and black lashes go together like burgers and fries! If you, like me are not skilled enough master a Kim Kardashian smokey eye for a night out then red lips and lashings or mascara will be your saving grace when you need to go from day-to-night.
The Rimmel by Kate line has got to be one of my favourite affordable ‘drug store’ lines the lipsticks are amazing and the new mascara is just as on point. Don’t be intimidated by the wand, this mascara is super easy to use it just takes a little positioning to master which angle works best for you when applying it. The colour its blacker than black and it is able to be layered on throughout to the day to achieve a fuller more dramatic lash when you need to leave work and it da club, bar, restaurant, tinder date, movie or whatever post work activity you’re into.
Pairing big lashes with red lips is instant ‘hot lady’ ‘ohhhh la la who is that’ kinda makeup and I am really into that. Especially when its matte red lips which is why Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 03 Hot Pepper has been on my lips quite a lot lately. The formula is really strange it glides on and feels a little weird when you first apply it, and I always need a little cotton bud to perfect the edges but when its on…..IT’S ON! This baby ain’t going nowhere, so it is great if you are going out for a meal or 15 cocktails with your best girls.
If red lips and black lashes are a lazy girls smokey-eye and contour, then I am fine with that because ain’t no one got time to blend out eye shadows and miss out on drinks!
